Student composed personal narratives that incorporated dialogue, figurative language, suspense, and other necessary features. We worked in class, peer edited, and revised to get to our final product. Here are two posts from students:

Brada Shaw:
This was my first time writing a narrative story in the 9th grade. I still have a lot of work to do, but I think I did pretty good. It did not go as bad as I thought it would. It was actually better. I like the fact that we got to choose the topic and whether it could be fiction or nonfiction. Also, I learned not to use contractions or you will get points taken off. But, overall, I learned that writing can actually be fun. I enjoyed writing my narrative story!

Nazia Khan:
I really enjoyed writing my narrative. My experience was very good. I really wanted to write about the Ronald McDonald House because that experience really changed my life. Writing about the whole experience really made me reminisce on it and made me see how grateful I should be.
